i have a few questions about zbp:
1. when i call the london number, am i being charged the rate of a london phone call or am i being charged for a call to america (which i assume is where the servers are based)?
2. i can't quite hear the voice properly (i think it's because my volume on my phone is turned right down). what does pressing 1 in a conference do?
3. when i tried increasing the conference volume, nothing happened. what's wrong?
4. the conference help sead press 8 to exit the conference, but nothing happened! what's up?
5. i've noticed that a lot of people are using private conferences because they hold more people. is there a particular code which is used for these conferences (i don't think it's 1234 because i've already tried that one with no success)?
6. it says that there will be new features added to the voicemail system soon. have we got an idea on when "soon" is likely to be?
that's all i can think of now. sorry if these questions have already been answered elsewhere.
I don't know all the answers, but;
1. If you call the London number, you're being charged for calling the London number, not for calling the US.
2. If you press 1 in a conference, nothing will happen. Pressing star 1 will mute you.
3. If you want to turn the volume of a conference up, press star 6. Turning it down is star 4.
4. My guess is that you aren't pressing the star key before you enter these commands.
5. You have to be invited to a private conference. There's not a particular code that's used; the codes are determined when people make the decision to go private.
6. I have no idea.
your right, i didn't press star before the number. do you press star and then the number or do you press both buttons at the same time?
also, one question i forgot to add to my previous post, does that "ventrilo password" thing have anything to do with zbp? what is it for?
the ventrillo password thing was to do with the zone's ventrillo server, an old voicechat feature. it's no use now
Ventrilo and ZBP are two different systems, so one has nothing to do with the other.
And you press star first, then the number. Not at the same time.
Its been a while since I've used ZBP, but I believe pressing star brings up a menu. Then you press the numbers you want. Just follow the prompts.
Yeah, like BrookE said, private conferences has special codes that people choose. You have to be premium to do that though. But if you have the four digit code, you can the privconf
ok, this a bit different a question which is actually two questios:
1. Is there a way of finding out (apart from entering each conference) who is on Zone by Phone on the phone number?
2. Is there a wy of finding out who is on Zone by Phone whilst logged into Zone BBS? Instead of having to log out??
when there is someone on zbp and your logged in to the website, you can click on the link at the top of the page near the link to see who is on the website. this will take you to the zbp main page giving you all the info including access numbers and who is on the system.
another, easier, way. if you have public qn's turned on, you will see a qn telling you when someone logs in or out of zbp. you'll still need to visit the zbp webpage to find out there location on the system and how long they have been connected.
When you're on ZBP, in the main menu, you can pres 9 to get to, "Who's Where." You navigate that list by pressing 4 and 6 to move forward and backward. You'll hear their ZBP audio tag. If you want their ID number, you can pres 2, I believe. And I think pressing 1 when you here a person's tag will tell you where on ZBP they are at that moment.
Yeah, like Sister Dawn said, if you're on the ZBP main menu, pressing 9 will take you to Who's where. Pressing 4 moves you through the list and 6 take you backwards. 1 tells you where the user is that point and 2 tells you the user ID. And 3 lets you send a voicemail to that person, lol.
Can I expand on who's wear?
Because who's wear does not refresh like the sight does if a person that you want there location for moves and you are still in who's wear then it will still show the same location.
What this Menes is that if you want to find someone exit who's wear then inter it again to find out the persons most recent location.
